Overview

SK8505 is a compact FlexMatrix™ keyboard control board for industrial equipment and instrumentation. USB models use the SK5301 controller, while HID-over-I2C models use SK5340.

All models support an 8 x 20 keyboard matrix, LED and PWM backlight connections, test switches and field-upgradable firmware. Connector options support direct header or FPC-based keyboard integration.

External PS/2 note: The board includes the PS/2 connector, but the default SK5301 and SK5340 firmware does not enable the external PS/2 port. Select compatible Sprintek firmware or request a customized version when PS/2 support is required.
